Hi, I’m Jo, and I live in North London with my wonderful family. Of course, it goes without saying that I love my job! But I also love nothing more than long walks with my dog, reading a good book, live music events, and cooking up a feast for family and friends.
I have always been an incredibly organised individual. For as long as I can remember, I have had the ability to multi-task – whether that was back in school revising for exams whilst holding down a part-time job, in my first ever graduate role, or later in life when motherhood demanded I juggle a hundred things all at once without the luxury of family living close by to help! I am all about being organised and managing my time efficiently and effectively. I guess that’s why I was drawn to the role of a VA.

If you’re looking for someone who just gets it, Jo Davison is the person you need in your corner. She understands a brief in minutes, can source, find, and interview the right person faster than you’d think possible, and always delivers with precision and efficiency. I have had 2 VA’s from Jo – would return if I need another! Jo has an incredible ability to save you time, increase efficiency, and take the stress out of hiring and admin. And if something doesn’t go to plan? She’s already on it—picking up the pieces and sorting things in minutes. A brilliant listener, a proactive problem-solver, and someone you can always rely on. I’d highly recommend Jo to anyone who wants to work smarter, not harder—she’s a total game-changer!

Jo is the perfect virtual PA. Incredibly quick to pick up on what you need, always seems to be available when you need her and does all work to the very highest standards. What a star!

After graduating from the University of Liverpool, I pursued a PGCE qualification. And that led me into my ‘life before At Home Assistant…Education recruitment. I had a very successful career in recruitment for many years, first in my hometown Leeds, and then in London, where I settled. I rose from trainee consultant to Area Manager within a few short years. Fast forward to 2011; my two young children were in pre-school & primary school, and I was seeking a better work/life balance; something that enabled me to be a hands-on mum, whilst using my skillsets to the best of my ability in my career.
And so, in 2012 At Home Assistant was born! Back then, remote working was uncommon. At first, it was a struggle for potential clients to understand the benefits of working with someone who wasn’t based in their office. What At Home Assistant was offering was something different – not an employee but a collaborator! However, with hard work and perseverance, my fledgling business took off.
And all these years later, it was the best decision I ever made. I have had the pleasure of working with so many different clients, as well as the joy of watching my businesses flourish. Many of the clients I started working with all those years ago, are still with me to this day. As my business has grown, so has demand. So, as Lead VA, I also now work with some amazing Associate VAs who support my business using their various different skillsets.
